Walk-ins are welcome during office hours for batteries, wax guards, hearing aid drop-off, cleanings, and many common issues — no appointment needed. For an appointment with the audiologist, scheduling ahead is strongly preferred, and we can't guarantee every issue can be handled without one.
Hours occasionally vary — if you're making a special trip, a quick call ahead is always welcome.

Yes. The Swainsboro office is open every Thursday, 9:00am–3:00pm, and walk-ins are welcome for batteries, wax guards, hearing aid drop-off, cleanings, and many common issues — no appointment needed. If you need help on another weekday, our Hazlehurst office is open Monday through Friday.
Yes — Dr. Pitt accepts Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and many other plans, and as a courtesy we file insurance claims for you. Insurance participation can vary by plan, plan year, and provider, and every policy is different — so it is ultimately each patient's responsibility to know the terms of their individual policy, including deductibles, copays, and covered services. Any amount not paid by insurance remains the patient's responsibility. Not sure what your plan covers? Call us before your visit and we'll help you check your benefits.
No — a referral is not required, and not having one should never stop you from scheduling. That said, referrals are helpful: if your doctor can provide one, either bring the paper referral with you or ask their office to fax it to us at 912-296-0212 — most local physicians already have our fax number on file. Either way, we'll get you on the schedule.
Bring your insurance card, a list of your current medications, and any hearing aids you already own — even old ones. A family member is welcome too; a familiar voice is useful during testing and a second set of ears helps during the conversation after.
